While the historical role of courtesy is an interesting intellectual pursuit, the idea of a more practical application of my research and conceptualizations about courtesy is appealing. In a post-Emily Post world, the role of what may be reduced to "manners" or aggrandized to "decorum" is unsure.
There is certainly a need for courtesy in a world that is increasingly multicultural and in which emerging technologies change the way in which we communicate and relate to each other. This blog seeks to investigate the place of courtesy in our world. I invite open communication and encourage comments, as I think a dialogue is the most appropriate means of exploring a concept.
